目前是世界通用的隔離防護手套主要分為天然乳膠手套、PVC手套、丁晴手套及其他合成膠乳手套等，存在比例一直穩定在5.5：3：1：0.5（乳膠：PVC：丁晴）的狀態下，以下簡單分析一下各類手套在功能及使用範圍上各自的優劣：

PVC手套有良好的性能，這種手套生產工藝簡單，價格較低、強度較大，同時PVC手套有良好的隔離性能，耐酸堿，同時不含有引起人體過敏的物質，可廣泛用於醫療、電子、衛生防護、家庭護理、美容美髮等多個行業，而且目前已推出添加了彈性體的仿乳膠手套來改善伸長率的性能。

丁腈膠乳和氯丁膠乳手套：用丁腈膠乳和氯丁膠乳作原料。這兩種手套強度高、延伸率大、手感較好，是天然膠乳手套比較理想的替代產品，要注意的是，應嚴格控制手套中殘留的有毒丙烯腈和氯丁二烯含量，因此生產控制成本較高，同時生產過程中會對環境產生污染，環保治理的成本比較高，這兩種手套也有過敏性問題，但不嚴重。

聚氨酯膠乳手套：用聚氨酯膠乳作原料，以浸漬成型法生產。這種手套強度高、彈性和手感好、穿戴較舒服，其性能與天然膠乳手套接近。但這種手套價格高、燃燒時產生的**化物毒性大，使用也受到限制.

PP手套：以PP薄膜為原料，用熱融方式生產。這種手套價格低廉，但強度低、延伸率小、手感不好，一般僅用於日常生活和普通工作中，在醫療手術和醫學檢查中的應用十分有限。這種手套突出的優點是沒有過敏性問題，是一種絕對安全的手套。
